The Global Behavior of Elastoplastic and Viscoelastic Materials with Hysteresis-Type State Equations

چکیده
A one-dimensional model is derived in order to study how the elasticity (internal elastic energy) of visco-elastic and elasto-plastic materials, such as biopolymers (muscles and grain our dough) or metals, changes due to the action of external forces. For such materials, the model takes the form of an initial-boundary value problem, corresponding to Newton's second law, which is coupled to an auxiliary (stress-strain) state equation which characterizes the nature of the interaction between the material and the external forces. In the oscillatory loading of muscles and the mixing of grain our as well as of the fatiguing of metals, the state equation must model how the stress depends on the earlier history of the strain as well as describe how the material gains or loses elastic energy due to the action of the loading. One is thereby led to model the auxiliary stress-strain relationship as a constitutive relationship involving a Duhem-Madelung hysteresis operator. As well as discussing the formulation of such models along with the properties of Duhem-Madelung hysteresis operators, the paper examines the existence and uniqueness for the solutions of such coupled systems. In addition, some global estimates are derived for these solutions, and their asymptotic behaviour, as the time increases, is studied under the assumption that a part of the internal (elastic) energy dissipates during the interaction, and, hence, the associated Duhem-Madelung hysteron has negative spin. 2

A New Approach for Solving Heat and Mass Transfer Equations of Viscoelastic Nanofluids using Artificial Optimization Method
The behavior of many types of fluids can be simulated using differential equations. There are many approaches to solve differential equations, including analytical and numerical methods. However, solving an ill-posed high-order differential equation is still a major challenge. Generally, the governing differential equations of a viscoelastic nanofluid are ill-posed; hence, their solution is a c...

Free bending vibration analysis of the functionally graded viscoelastic circular sandwich plates is accomplished in the present paper, for the first time. Furthermore, local shear corrections factors are presented that may consider simultaneous effects of the gradual variations of the material properties and the viscoelastic behaviors of the materials, for the first time. Moreover, in contrast ...
متن کاملModeling SMA actuated systems based on Bouc-Wen hysteresis model and feed-forward neural network
Despite the fact that shape-memory alloy (SMA) has several mechanical advantages as it continues being used as an actuator in engineering applications, using it still remains as a challenge since it shows both non-linear and hysteretic behavior. To improve the efficiency of SMA application, it is required to do research not only on modeling it, but also on control hysteresis behavior of these m...
متن کاملDynamic response determination of viscoelastic annular plates using FSDT – perturbation approach
In this paper, the transient response of a viscoelastic annular plate which has time-dependent properties is determined mathematically under dynamic transverse load. The axisymmetric conditions are considered in the problem. The viscoelastic properties obey the standard linear solid model in shear and the bulk behavior in elastic. The equations of motion are extracted using Hamilton’s principle...
متن کاملThe Effect of Evolving Damage on the Finite Strain Response of Inelastic and Viscoelastic Composites
A finite strain micromechanical model is generalized in order to incorporate the effect of evolving damage in the metallic and polymeric phases of unidirectional composites. As a result, it is possible to predict the response of composites with ductile and brittle phases undergoing large coupled inelastic-damage and viscoelastic-damage deformations, respectively. For inelastic composites, both ...
